Which Desert Camp to Choose in Jaisalmer?
To have the authentic experience, it’s important to consider which desert camps location of Jaisalmer is most suitable for you. Most tourists head to Sam dunes, which are insanely commercial and crowded these days.
Some of the primary reasons that some travelers avoiding Sam and choosing Khuri desert camps or Osian desert is because of the levels of hassle from camel safari touts, rows of touristic tented resort every where out in the desert.

Thank you so much for making our stay so interesting and enjoyable. you made a fantastic birthday party for Sarah. We will never forget sitting around the fire under the stars listening to the enchanting music of Rajasthan.

This is a beautiful desert camp away from the crowded Sam dunes camps. Featuring about twenty tents the camp is built at the bottom of its private sand dune. You can just leave by a back gate and climb the dune in the evening or early in the morning. They arrange jeep and camel rides to a larger sand dune further afield. The Swiss tents are luxurious with very comfortable beds and well appointed washrooms. The breakfast and dinner were delicious (vegetarian only). We stayed only one night but wished we could have spent more time at the camp and in the surrounding quiet of the desert. Khuri is a better choice than Sam simply because it is more serene. You don't get a multitude of camps right next to each other creating light pollution throughout the night. And no crowds either. The evening entertainment consisted of Rajasthani folk songs and dances. The camp was a great experience not to be missed whilst in Jaisalmer. This desert trip made our Jaisalmer trip so much more memorable. We were so glad with our choice of camp in Khuri desert.
