The best time to visit Jaisalmer is between October and March, when the temperature in thar desert is between 08°c to 28°c. Being a desert city, winter is the best season to visit Jaisalmer as the sunlight is perfect for the fort and other top attractions to visit that the place is famous for.

Yes there are if you have time could plan your itinerary wisely, one can include some unique attractions such as Desert National Park for Birding and wild life excursion.

  • Riding animal we call saddle adventure. The rider needs to be confident in the saddle.
  • For camel ride, one should know few basic things before (from your camel host or guide) mounting on a camel.
  • For jeep safari, one should ask the jeep driver before hand if you prefare a soft-adventure drive or thrill through the desert dunes.

At Thar desert safaris is open from September to March. However, if you want to avoid the monsoon and midday heat, then plan your tour between the month of October and February. Camel & Jeep safari is conducted twice in a day i.e. morning and afternoon. We recommends afternoon time to enjoy your ride, see some wildlife and take beautiful photos of sunset.

The timing for the morning safari is 6/7:30 AM and for afternoon safari, it is 2:30/3:00 PM. Tourists can enjoy jeep safari and camel rides. The duration of the safari tour would be approximately 1 and half to 2 hours.
